Made in Abyss season two - first animations

One of the most interesting anime of recent years is preparing to return with the second season, after years of waiting. Below the first trailer of the new episodes of Made in Abyss.

An adaptation of the manga of the same name by Akihito Tsukushi, the first season of the series produced by Kinema Citrus was released in 2017 and further developments are expected since then.

The new season will be titled in Japan Made in Abyss: Retsujitsu no Ougonkyo (Made in Abyss: The Golden City of the Scorching Sun) and picks up where the first episodes left off, with Riko, a girl who grew up in an orphanage in the city of Orth, a city that rises around a huge chasm called the Abyss of which no one knows the depth yet, venture into these unknown places together with Reg, a boy with a robotic body with extraordinary powers.

Expected in 2022 in Japan, the series will see the return of director Masayuki Kojima, as well as that of screenwriter Hideyuki Kurata and composer Kevin Penkin.
