First animations for Jorge R. Guti�rrez's Maya and the Three

We had already presented the series event that Jorge R. Guti�rrez was working on for Netflix a few months ago. Today we show you the firt teaser trailer.

The original title is Maya and the Three, the new original work conceived, written, directed and produced by Jorge R. Gutiérrez (The Book of Life), a nine-part fantasy series set in ancient Mesoamerica.

Synopsis: "In a mythical world, where magic is real and four kingdoms rule, there lives a brave and rebellious warrior princess named Maya. Maya embarks on a thrilling quest to fulfill an ancient prophecy but can she defeat the gods and save humankind?"

Nine chapters that will alternate between the voice actors Zoe Saldana, Gabriel Iglesias, Allen Maldonado, Stephanie Beatriz, Diego Luna, Gael García Bernal, Alfred Molina, Kate del Castillo, Danny Trejo, Cheech Marin, Rosie Perez, Queen Latifah, Wyclef Jean , Sandra Equihua, Isabela Merced, Chelsea Rendon, Joaquín Cosío, Carlos Alazraqui, Rita Moreno as well as the director and author himself.

The series is produced by Tim Yoon (El Tigre, The Legend of Korra), written by the director himself together with Silvia Olivas and Candie Kelty Langdale and with music by Gustavo Santaolalla and Tim Davies. The animations are produced by the Canadian Tangent Animation (Next Gen).
