An animated film expands The Witcher franchise

The animated feature film The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf will arrive at the end of August, a film linked to the well-known franchise whose series are produced by Netflix.

Directed by the showrunner of the original series The Witcher, Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, and written by Beau DeMayo, the animations are produced by the Korean Studio Mir (The Legend of Korra, Voltron: Legendary Defender, Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts).

The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf will expand the world of the hit series and introduce a powerful new threat to the continent, focusing on the story of Witchers in Andrzej Sapkowski's fantasy world.

Presented last month at Annecy, the animated film (standalone) will be released on the well-known streaming platform next August 23, while for season 2 of the main series we will have to wait until December.
