Where is Anne Frank by Ari Folman is ready and lands in Cannes

Israeli director Ari Folman returns with his new and important work with an exceptional protagonist: Anne Frank. Below the first trailer.

The director and screenwriter of Waltz with Bashir (2008) and The Congress (2013) returns in 2021 with a project that has kept him busy for the past five years [news].

Where Is Anne Frank (international title) tells the story of the young Holocaust victim focusing on the period after her capture by the Nazis and, at the same time, with a modern view of her peer who wants to find out the truth about Anna by rereading the diary that made her known to the world.

Produced by Samsa Film and Doghouse Films (Luxembourg), Purple Whale and Walking the Dog (Belgium), Bridgit Folman Film Gang (Israel), and Submarine (Netherlands), the film is currently being presented out of competition at the Cannes festival and will be released on November 24 in French theaters.
