Mari Okada writes and directs a new anime at the Mappa studio

The new anime from the talented author Mari Okada is titled Alice and Therese's Illusory Factory. Below info and teaser trailer.

The original title is Alice to Therese no Maboroshi Kojo (Alice and Therese's Illusory Factory), a new anime produced by the animation studio Mappa and presented on the occasion of the studios' 10th anniversary celebrations.

Author Okada describes it as a "first-love fantasia story", with young protagonists struggling in an uncertain world and fighting fate with the only weapon in their hands: love.

Assistant director is Tadashi Hiramatsu, Yuriko Ishii is the author of the character design and head animator, while Kazuki Higashiji is artistic director and Masaru Yokoyama author of the music.

The film is still in production and no release date has yet been announced.
