New and full trailer of the anime Belle by Mamoru Hosoda

A journey between virtual and social worlds are the basis of the new anime of Mamoru Hosoda of which we show you a new and interesting trailer.

The story takes us to the world of Suzu, a 17-year-old high school student who lost her mother at an early age to an accident, and now lives with her father in an uninhabited rural town. Suzu learns of "U", a virtual world in which she joins with an avatar named Belle, whose singing attracts worldwide attention. Here Belle meets a mysterious creature that is shaped like a dragon.

Co-produced by Kadokawa, Nippon Television Network, TOHO and, for the first time, also by the Irish studios Cartoon Saloon (Wolfwalkers), the film is animated by Tokyo based Studio Chizu, co-founded by Hosoda himself (author and director). The original title is Ryu to Sobakasu no Hime (literally "The Princess of Dragons and Freckles"), while in international territory it becomes Belle.

A journey between real and virtual life, between two-dimensional drawings and CG, which will hit Japanese theaters from July 16, 2021.
