Spirit Untamed - from series to feature film

From the animated series for kids distributed by Netflix and titled Spirit Riding Free this summer comes an animated feature film.

Spirit Riding Free is an animated series produced by DreamWorks Animation for the popular streaming service airing since 2017 for a total of 8 seasons, 68 episodes and even a couple of spin-offs and specials, all based on the 2002 film Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron.

Now the studios announce the arrival of a feature film, Spirit Untamed, whose story will follow the events of the animated series.

A film directed by Elaine Bogan (Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia, 3 Below: Tales of Arcadia, Dragons: Race to the Edge) and co-directed by Ennio Torresan (The Boss Baby head of story), written by Aury Wallington (Spirit Riding Free creator and producer), and produced by Karen Foster (How to Train Your Dragon).

New voice cast, instead of the original ones of the series: Eiza González, Jake Gyllenhaal, Mckenna Grace, Isabela Merced, Walton Goggins, Julianne Moore and many others.

Universal Pictures has scheduled the film's release in US theaters on June 4th.
