My Favorite War debut in VOD on Vimeo

The multi-award winning Norwegian/Latvian animated feature My Favorite War comes with a trailer for release on the VOD streaming service.

Awarded in the 2020 edition of Annecy (Contrechamp competition), at the Palm Springs International Animation Festival, with a special distinction at the Korean Bucheon International Film Festival and in contention for a nomination at the Academy Awards and at the Annie Awards, the feature film is directed by Ilze Burkovska-Jacobsen and based on the events of his childhood, on the escape by the totalitarian Soviet regime of Latvia.

Synopsis: On discovering the remains of a German soldier in her sandbox, the heroine wonders what is buried beneath state propaganda, and sets off on a voyage of discovery.

The film launches an anti-war and pro-democracy message dedicated mainly to an adult audience.
