Splinter Cell will become an anime produced by Netflix


The next franchise that will become an animated series will be the one taken from the videogames branded Ubisoft with main character a secret agent created by Tom Clancy. Below the first information released.


This new animated series will be produced by Netflix together with the software house Ubisoft which has already brought the characters created by Tom Clancy into the world of video games, which later also appeared in a series of books written together with other authors.

The new anime series, of which two seasons have already been ordered for a total of 16 episodes, will be written and produced by Derek Kolstad, author of the action films John Wick and author the upcoming Disney+/Marvel seires The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Splinter Cell series follows the adventures of Sam Fisher, an agent of a secret branch of the NSA called Third Echelon. The series has sold over 30 million copies, inspiring many other titles of the same genre.

A film was announced about 15 years ago with Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity) as director and Tom Hardy as Sam Fisher, but after completed the script in 2017, production never started.
