The anime winners of the Tokyo Anime Award Festival

In just over a month, the best Anime 2020 prizes will be awarded at the Tokyo Anime Award Festival. Below the winners just announced.

The Tokyo Anime Award Festival (TAAF) handover ceremony will be held from March 13 to March 16, event in which the anime broadcast or shown in Japanese theaters in the 2018/2019 season (October 2018 - September 2019) will be awarded.

Here are the winners of the individual sections:

Best TV series: Demon Slayer

Best animated film: Weathering With You

Best Original Subject/Screenplay: Koyoharu Gotoge (Demon Slayer)

Best director: Makoto Shinkai (Weathering With You)

Best Animator: Akira Matsushima (Demon Slayer)

Best background/coloring/video: Mikiko Watanabe (posthumous award) (Violet Evergarden)

Best soundtrack/performance: Yuki Kajiura (Demon Slayer)

Audience Award: Uta no Prince-sama Maji Love Kingdom
