The european feature Bunuel in the Labyrinth of the Turtles in USA
The animated feature film Bunuel in the Labyrinth of the Turtles, new film by director Salvador Simó, animator and special effects artist, will hit theaters in USA. Below the trailer.
Bunuel en el laberinto de las tortugas (original title) is an European production, Spanish, Dutch and German, that brings to life the story of Luis Bunuel, winner of the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, of a Palme d'Or at Cannes and a Golden Lion at Venice, on how he made his second film "Land Without Bread", a work that opened his eyes to the miserable living conditions of the population of Las Hurdes.
The feature was presented in many festivals and has already received awards at Annecy (Best Original Music and Jury Award) and at Málaga Spanish Film Festival (Best Original Music).
Created with bi-dimensional animations produced by Hampa Studio and parts of the 1932 original film, Buñuel in the Labyrinth of the Turtles will hit select New York and Los Angeles theaters August 16.
