Kiki - Welcome in the Bohemian France of 1920

Announced "in concept" at the last Cartoon Movie few weeks ago, a new English animated film starring for the first time the "Queen of Montparnasse", or Alice Prin, for everybody Kiki.

Produced by Lupus Films and Linenwing Production, the film is written and directed by Peter Dodd, animations director for Ethel & Ernest (2016).

Inspired by the true story of Alice Prin, it is set in Paris, in the first post-war period and begins when the young protagonist comes into contact with a group of artists, a fortunate encounter that leads her to quickly become a very popular model. Kiki, this is his stage name, is a very strong and determined woman. Close to an American photographer, Man Ray, of whom she becomes a muse and lover. A whirlwind of notoriety and misadventures will lead her to become the queen of Montparnasse, while with the same speed with which she ascended, her parable inevitably turns to an end.

A film aimed primarily at a young/adult audience, with beautiful designs inspired by that historical period, animated in two dimensions.

Announced "in concept" at the last Cartoon Movie looking for financiers to develop the film, the budget should be under 10 million euros, with the end of the work scheduled for 2022.
