White Snake - a new fantasy-adventure film from China

Co-produced by Warner Bros, the new animated feature we are presenting today is White Snake, produced in China with the story inspired by chinese folk tale. Below poster and trailer.

The animations are produced by Light Chaser Animation, known for Little Door Gods and TeaPets.

White Snake is inspired to the famous Chinese "Legend of the White Snake", in which a white snake spirit transforms into a human woman and falls in love with a human man. The events of the movie are sets earlier, before the white snake meets the human companion.

Directed by Amp Wong and Zhao Ji, the film will be released in China on December 21, distribuited by Warner Bros. The label has rights in China, and according to Variety, is negotiating for rights for international markets.

Light Chaser Animation, the animation studios founded by Gary Wang, founder of Tudou, China's equivalent of YouTube, has also two other features completed: Cats and Peachtopia and Toys and Pets, both in international markers in search of international distributors.
