Smallfoot - first weekend in the head in the world box-office

The Warner Bros Animation studios are not yet at the level of Pixar or DreamWorks Animation, but with their animated productions they have good satisfaction.

The release in the right week (trying to stay away from the blockbusters) may have contributed, but Smallfoot, already reach the second place in US box-office with $23 million in four days and a total of $38.6 millions worldwide, and additional $15.6 million collected in other countries.

Warner Bros. has coordinated a launch in over 40 markets with a total of more than 8000 screens that have projected the feature film. This has produced the first position in Brazil ($1.3 million dollars) and Mexico ($3.6 million dollars).

Major and important markets like U.K., France, Japan, China, and Russia are still to come this October, like Italy (4 October).

The numbers are not yet close to those of the more titled colleagues like Pixar or DreamWorks Animation, but not even the budgets, always under 100 million (Smallfoot should have cost 80). A good starting point.
