"The team at Taiko couldn't be more grateful for all of the industry support and goodwill surrounding our first project. We are so happy to finally share the lovingly crafted work of our LA and Wuhan artists with the world. One Small Step is truly a reflection of the passion of everyone who made it."
With those words the studios announce the online premiere of their first short film.
Synopsis: Luna is a young Chinese American girl who dreams of becoming an astronaut. From the day she witnesses a rocket launching into space on TV, she is inspired to reach for the stars. Luna lives with her loving father Chu in the big city. He supports her with a humble shoe repair business he runs out of his garage. As Luna grows up, she faces all kinds of challenges in pursuit of her dreams.
Directors are the veteran Disney animators Bobby Pontillas and Andrew Chesworth, with Joy Johnson as CG supervisor.
The 7 minutes short film is made with mixed techniques with a very convincing final result and, as in the most classic traditions, without dialogues.
