The modest heroes in the new anime of the Studio Ponoc


The new anime of the Japanese animation studios Ponoc, Volume 1 - Modest Heroes, a few days before the local premiere, presents the second official trailer.


The young studio founded by Yoshiaki Nishimura, born in 1977, a longtime producer at the Studio Ghibli, presents the new project titled Ponoc Short Story Theater, whose first feature is composed of 3 short films directed by 3 ex-Ghibli artists.

Here are the titles in the specific:

- Kanini & Kanino is directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi (Arrietty, Marnie, Mary and the Witch's Flower) with the story that follow two brothers in search of his father lost in the strange world in which they live.

- Life Is Not Gonna Lose is directed by Yoshiyuki Momose (veteran animator of Studio Ghibli) with the story that tells the lives of a single mother and her son passionate about baseball.

- Invisible Man is directed by Akihiko Yamashita (director of the animations of Arrietty, Howl's Moving Castle) with the story telling about life and the adventures of a completely invisible man in today's society.

Volume 1 - Modest Heroes will land in Japanese theaters from August 24, while for international releases there is no information yet.
