Animusic Weekend: Mr. Kite x Makoto Shinkai

Animusic, our trip of the weekend between music and animation take us to Japan, place like no other where these two worlds often meet.

Today we listen to the song Mr. Kite composed by the rock/jazz/fusion due Sukima Switch (Takuya Ohashi and Shintarò Tokita). The duo is known in the world of Japanese animation for their theme songs of popular anime like Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Naruto and Haikyuu.

Many times the world of animation and music also meet in the opposite way, when someone needs to give "images" to a song, and sometimes it happens that a great director like Makoto Shinkai (Your Name) is called to direct the animations.
