An Italian and a Norwegian to conquer North Pole


We present the film Titina (work title: Amundsen & Nobile), an animated feature film whose story is based on a Norwegian explorer and an Italian engineer and his dog .


Two noble men and their large aircraft to discover the North Pole; a true story set in 1926 on the first air expedition to those latitudes, after Amundsen's enterprise on the South Pole soil in 1911 (which beat English Scott over time).

Protagonists are the Italian engineer Umberto Nobile and the famous Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen, author of the first aircraft for the shipment commissioned by the second, an occasion that Italian she catches on the fly to feed her dreams of glory. An expedition that also has another protagonist: Titina, the one that gives the title to the film, the beloved dog of the engineer, the first and only Fox Terrier to have set foot on those lands.

The film made with two-dimensional animations in Oslo, at the studios Mikrofilm, studios that won an Oscar for the short film "The Danish Poet". Directed by Kajsa Næss and written by Per Schreiner, with the character design by Siri Dokken, the work is an European co-production between Norwegian, French and Belgian studios.

The film is still under development and its production will begin next year, with the release scheduled for 2021.
